Choosing the right treat texture for your dog

Dogs have preferences, and so do their mouths. Size, age and chewing style all shape which treat works best.

Biscuits

Our biscuits are baked and crunchy. They break easily into smaller pieces, which makes one bag work for big and little dogs. Try Beefy Bacon or Lucy Lou’s Pumpkin Spice.

Bites and crisps

Jerky

Chicken Jerky, Salmon Jerky and Beef Liver Bites are single-ingredient and chewier. Offer pieces sized for your dog.

Safety first

Whatever the texture, pick a piece size that suits your dog, supervise treat time, and keep fresh water nearby. If your dog has dental problems or trouble chewing, ask your veterinarian which textures are appropriate.
